Wednesday Smiles
Perfect Imperfections - unexpectedbox
My huge smile:  It's 65 degrees here right now.  65.  In February.  :D

What's yours?

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since last December. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

there is the faintest slightest most hopeful chance i might be asked out on valentines day!!!!

The wind hasn't permanently knocked out our power... yet. :D

65 degrees! I am loving this weather. It is so wonderful. It is supposed to snow on Saturday though. :( Why can't Maryland decide on its weather?

I'm taking martial arts classes and had my first one last night in about 12 years... It was awesome!!!

Well, I found out I'm a good cook. I've been cooking for the last two weeks and I'm happy about that. At least no one has complained yet.

Ben Folds concert Saturday night! *finger crossed to snow showers wait to return until Sunday*

Smiles today include
- my family in Oklahoma being safe after tornados yesterday
- I baked cooooookies today, mmm
- going thru old photos as I pack, memories

Hello! *waves madly*

My smile is that my current mission to make people on my flist watch SPN (so that I have someone to squee with) is going excellently. I have watched the pilot 3 times in the last week with 3 different people and they have all agreed that Dean Winchester is the hottest thing since... it's 1am and I can't think of an appropriate metaphor. Pretty damn hot anyway. So I am gleeful and squeeful and happy and have Space and TT next on my hitlist and holy run-on sentence, Batman.

I'm going to go to bed and stop talking now. Yay that you haven't disappeared. :D

You're still up you crazy person?!?! ;)

Go to bed! *stern face* ;)

65 in February?!?!?! That's AMAZING! :)

My smiles:
-Nice to see you back for a bit again!
-Snow caused a 2 hr delay at my school this past Monday. Yay for (unexpectedly) getting to sleep in!!
-I got to do some SPN (Supernatural) watching & chatting with bertie456 today which was SUPER fun! ♥
-Mid-Winter break is next week, if I can just hold on until then.
-8 days until my B-Day and I'm officially an adult! :)

I've had a stressful, poorly, busy week but my LJ friends never fail to lighten my days :D BIIIIIG SMILE!!!!

1. Wind symphony rehearsal good-natured ribbing. Always does.
2. Several people at rehearsal telling me it was good to see me after I had missed the first few.
3. Reading the spoiler for this Bones season's finale!!!
4. Each page of John Barrowman's autobiography as I'm reading it! LOL!

-Dinner with friends who make me laugh more than anyone I've ever met.
-Getting the blue streaks back in my hair this afternoon!!! OMG so excited!
-getting a quiz in Euro History and realizing that either essay question I choose to answer I will get an A. Go me.
-The gorgeous weather we've been having down here. 78 yesterday? Heaven.

-Had so much fun a few days ago in a concert, that we're already making plans to drive and see Los Coronas and Los Straitjackets together next April. Insane, but happy. There are not good concerts around here often. :(

-Plain chocolate.

I hope your week is great.
