aka I actually liked Sweets in The Salt in the Wounds.  I didn't just tolerate him; I actually liked him.  I thought his scene with Angela in the chiropractor's office was beautiful.  Understated and natural and just perfect.  

*shakes head*

I know.  I can't believe it either.

I have to say, I never disliked Sweets except for those few weeks when I thought he was Gormagon. Now, because of his childhood and his "imprinting" on Booth and Brennan, I feel for him terribly and want him to be happy.

His history is sad, and I agree about wanting him to be happy. However, I generally found him pretty annoying because he didn't seem to have a purpose on the show, and it felt like he kept getting shoved into places and situations where he didn't actually need to be. Plus I think he kind of takes Booth's place; Booth isn't a psychologist, but his intuition and people skills seemed to be enough for the team. Oh, and the lack of professional ethics pissed me off, too. *g*
