I'm off to read chapter 4, but I had to say that this chapter was fantastic. I'm really hoping that at some point we find out what Bones wrote in that note... Really, REALLY hoping.

I also wanted to comment on your writing skill. Most fanfic that I see is pretty awful, but you're a good writer. Sentence structure, grammar, etc., it's all good. Do you ever write things besides fanfic?

Thanks! I'm happy you enjoyed this chapter. And I agree with you about wanting to discover what Brennan wrote in that note. It's just kind of hanging out there, and I bet it would be fantastic material for David and Emily if they revisit it at some point.

Most fanfic that I see is pretty awful, but you're a good writer.

Thank you; you're very kind. As with everything else on the Internet, there's a wide range of quality and subject matter. That said, there is much that can be done with 26 letters—and a lot of power in the written word—for those that know how to wield it. :) And just to be clear, I'm not saying that I know how. But I'm trying.

Do you ever write things besides fanfic?

The only thing I've ever really wanted to be is a writer. I sometimes keep a journal or diary of sorts. I've written some short stories. Ultimately, though, my greatest desire is to write a novel. The novel is my favorite form to read. Like other frustrated writers, I've started and stalled on various projects. Part of the problem is that I'm not certain yet what kind of story I want to tell. With my fanfic, I DO have that sense, even though I don't always know exactly where I'm going. With time, I think, and some more living, I'll find some answers—and write that first book.

Thank you very much for reading, commenting, and asking an interesting question; I sincerely appreciate it.

What can I say?
Loved it! Once again :D :D
The letter thing... It was awesome! Really.
You made me remember one of my big issues about Bones: What had she wrote in that letter in "Aliens in a Spaceship"? I'm curious since that day..
Well.. you killed my curiousity :P (a little..) because what you wrote could be totally what she wrote on the letter.. it's so Brennan! :)
Once again, great job!

Thanks, Sara. :) I'm glad I was able to at least dull your curiosity about that letter—until the day they revisit it on the show. I hope the Bones writers and producers realize what a goldmine they're sitting on with that unexplored and come back to it one day.

I'm happy you felt the text of the letter seemed like something Brennan would write. I know I could have gone a more sentimental route, but I don't think that would have been true to Brennan. Just my opinion.

Thanks for reading and feeding, Sara!
