Wednesday Smiles
Life Lemons
only_more_love

My smile:  the possibility inherent in another day of being alive (and relatively healthy).  It's good to be here.

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since last December. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

Hubby is home from work today... so far it's been kinda crappy, but I'm optimistic! o_O

*tackle hugs you*

Is this because he is home from work or... ;)

Thinking about my babies, how awesome and beautiful they are.. also listening to Nickelback on train on way to work. What is this obsession?? ;)

AWW! And your babies are ADORABLE!

It's Wednesday and I only have two more days of work before a day off and a weekend of friends.

Hugs to you, lerdo.

I am so so soooo blessed to get to stay home with my kiddies. I remember the countdown to the day off all too well. Here's to a week that passes quickly and weekend that seems never ending!

My smiles for the week are:

My son spontaneously, from a description of mine, saying, "You know, I think *I* have Asperger Syndrome!" and me getting to say, "In fact, you do, and so do I." ....Then my daughter saying, "Do *I* have Asperger Syndrome?" and, in response to my "no," saying, "Awwwww!" with disappointment.

Our house is clean (due to expected company Sunday and a meeting last night)...I mean, not PERFECT, but GREAT. AND as a result of the meeting, pending paperwork (background checks and visa approvals overseas) we will have an exchange student this fall! I've wanted to host an exchange student since I was TWELVE!

Yay!

HAHA! Kids are such a HOOT! And you have a clean house? I am major crazy jealous! Where are you getting your exchange student from? That's crazy awesome!

my smile: after my driving test today, I will be one step closer to the normal I haven't seen since new years.

*tackle hugs you*

That's awesome!

my shallow smile: LERDO WROTE DEMILY. AAAAAAAAAAAAACK. *dies*

my not-as-shallow smile: my mommy and daddy are in town. and they paid for me to get my car fixed since i am 25 years old and still mildly dumb when it comes to money and the saving of said money for emergencies. also, they are generally fabulous. :)

LOL, what would we do without our Mommies and Daddies? I'm 29 now, but let me tell you girl...I had to ask for help a time or two...or three...

Finishing final grades and moving onto the next end-of-academic year/end-of-semester task was of the good.

Intrigued that there are other people interested in a meta of Bones 4.26 - and that gave me a smile, too.

As always, your Wednesday post brings a smile. You're a ray of sunshine, my dear. ::hugs::

Omg, this week has been a CONSTANT smile. Just to name a few:

Chatting with the posse
The emergence of "Demilymas"
Horny Lucy (courtesy of bea_tricks
The way my husband says "hot dog." I don't know why, but it ALWAYS cracks me up.

This week rocks.:)

*snort* My DH says Juice and it cracks me up too! They are indeed a never ending source of amusement!

My new job starts next week, it's 26 C outside, and I just made a tentative book cover to the novel I'm writing. :)

I had my Dr.'s appointment today and am relieved to know I'm apparently fairly normal.

Also, we leave for our long weekend in NC tomorrow :)

tv show seasons ending so I can catch up on them before the new seasons start. It's so very crazy how behind I am on tv shows! I haven't been able to participate in very many, if any chats about them.

Finding out yesterday that Hubby gets Monday off and he is going to take Friday off as well so that we can have a long weekend.

My just turned 3 year old demanding that I help him put his pants back on because "Don't want Daddy see my butt!"

Planning my daughter's first birthday next month.

And I know it has to do with the fandom, but seriously, so many people here make me smile ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME! And I'm meeting lots of new folks too, and that always makes me happy! =)

What a great idea. Hope it's okay if I participate. :)

The first thing that made me smile this morning? I woke up and my peace lily was green! I've been neglecting her recently, so it was such a blessing to get up in the morning and see her all healthy!

I'm drowning in Cannes coverage and Upfronts but it's all good. :)

As of today, I have about 12 or 13 school days left of being a high school student! On to graduation! :)

Oh, and since it's memorial day weekend I get to have a 4-day weekend (5 kinda, since tomorrow is senior skip day - I'm only skipping half the day though)! ;)
