Wednesday Smiles
Life Lemons
My smile:  Back to edit later.

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since last December. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

My smile: your music selection. :o)

My father and I have had several calm discussions this week, some even fun.

HAHAHA! Today's a REALLY bad day to ask me that. Maybe try again tomorrow!

Your new interest is country music has given me much happiness today.

Not a good day for me, not a good week indeed. But...

- I found out that Chris Isaak is playing here next October. I hope I can take that day off at work and attend.

- Next Saturday I'm seeing Los Coronas for the third time in less than six months. I think that a very nice guy from my work is coming with me. :)

I just realized that my smiles are related to music. Music helps me a lot.

Have a great week.

"...His name was mine name, too. Whenever we'd go out, the people all would shout, 'There goes, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt!'" da da da da da da da ....

Wow! Thanks for that flashback to summer camps gone bye. I remember learning that in the 4th grade in a barn, or a hayride, or by a lake bonfire or something. I sang it every summer for nine years at dear old Camp Blue Haven near the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico.

Zachary's birthday today!

I love posts like these! Especially on Wednesday, which have always been my least favorite day.
Let's see: I read a really good book, I finished my finals and I made tuna noodle casserole and snickerdoodles for lunch today.
Hope you're having some smiles!

1. my mum - she just dug us out of a really big hole
2. thinking about nmeeting alias_jems after the summer.. *squee*
3. my dh, who is awesome and sweet, and wonderful to me

Um, #2?!
*clears throat pointedly*

"Meeting" - by which I mean 'for the first time'. Sheesh Miss Jealous-Pants. Obviously I am excited to be seeing you too!

1. Adorable baby videos from you and Space. :D (C'mon, TT, you're slacking here.)
2. SPN BigBang is in progress - people have been prepping for aaaages and we get 4 or 5 20,000+ word fics every weekday till mid-August. Awesome does not begin to cover it.
3. Uni finishes in just over a week for summer. Woot. (I need to email you about that at some point.)

Happy, happy, joy, joy.

(C'mon, TT, you're slacking here.)

Gimme a break, we don't even have a video cam!

Successfully finding a cute summer dress today!

Space's video of C watching M. Too much cuteness.

And tandy cakes :)

Last week of school for the kids! Also one good thing happened today... my youngest got a certificate for perfect attendance the whole year. Impressive.

The GIGANTIC pink tutu I made Helen for her first b-day! Who would be able to resist smiling?
