My smile:  I feel half-dead, but I am, in fact, still alive.

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since last December. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

An "episode" for the virtual S7 of Scarecrow & Mrs. King (see icon).

I remember watching reruns of that show when I got home from school. it was rather entertaining

I watched the show starting premiere night in October 1983. *happy*sigh*

*tries not to make anyone feel "old"* if it premiered October 1983 I was 13 months old

Okay, well, yeah, a bit old, but...You're nearly the SAME AGE AS MY OTF (one true fandom)!!! That's kind of cool in and of itself!

I wish I could have a OTF but soooo many things interest me that I pop around...A LOT

If you look at my profile or my ff.net page, you'll see that I don't have a OTF in that I am Totally Married to it. I just consider S&MK to be my OTF in that it's the fandom I always come back to. I will walk away for years, and come back thinking, "Oh, it's going to have aged badly and be SO LAME..." and while it is as cheesy as it always was, and while it is definitely dated because of the Cold War stuff, it still holds up very well for me and still entertains me HUGELY. It still remains a happy place, and every few years I go back and read and write and watch.

I've heard about that show.

Good luck with the plotting ;)

The plot is plotted...I just have to slog through the WRITING. I'm more of a vignette person.

"Just" the writing left, I know what that's like!
