Wednesday Smiles
Life Lemons
Because of our friend's brain tumor, I am finding it a little hard to smile.  But I will attempt to focus on something positive:  my baby girl's laughter melts my heart.

Be well.

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since December 2007. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

My kids are watching and enjoying The Empire Strikes Back. I have waited for this day. *glee*

Sending many hugs to you, and hoping your beautiful girl will help with the sadness.

Best to your friend and their family. ::hugs:: and prayers.

Smile for today: got to see The Daughter, The Niece, and The Grand-dog. ahhhh!

let me add my thoughts and prayers to the pile for your family and your friend. *hugsHUGShugs*

my smile: zoe meeting the new oscillating fan. *stare... sniff... hop back and squeak from air in face... stare... go to eat, but stand on other side of dish so as to keep an eye on it... nomnom stare... nomnomnom staaare...*

i know, i'm gonna post some cute kitty pics soon.

What made me smile yesterday? witchman (who is so very different now he's working and on good meds). We had a great evening of watching cycling coverage, eating take out and being generally silly.

And, if I haven't said it before, you're in my thoughts. If there is anything I can do for you, please, please don't hesitate to ask. I've been where you are and it is not an easy place to be.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, I never know what to say so *hugs*

I'm actually going to join in for once. Smiles due to my nephew taking his first solo steps and the fact my antibiotics have kicked in.
