DH is holding daughter for literally 3 minutes while I post this.  If she's awake, I can't get near a computer because she's so interested in what I'm doing that she wants to "type," too.  ;)

I have gotten some gorgeous cards from people here, and I want to thank you for them.  Rather than going off my memory and likely forgetting someone, I will wait till M. naps and I can look at the actual cards. *hugs*

If you've left me an address, your cards are going out this Saturday.  I have a bunch, so if you want one and didn't give me your info, you still have time.  Not because a card from me is so special, but because I know how nice it is to receive "real" mail instead of sales circulars and bills.  :)

I am so tired of being sick; it's been almost two weeks, but this cold is still hanging on.  Barely, but it's still there.  If you've got some spare "good health" vibes, would you send a sprinkling my way?

Talk to you in a bit.

Wednesday Smiles (a day late!)

I kind of want to complain about being sick and passing it on to my mom and my daughter, but this isn't supposed to be a post for bitching. *g* OK, let's see. Quickly, before M. stops being distracted by the pile of board books I plopped down next to her. Happy things:

1) M. has found a new game: taking off my glasses and then trying to put them back on. She doesn't come close to getting them back on, and I'm convinced she's going to break them one of these days, but I'm thrilled that she now understands that what comes off CAN go back on.

2) I ran on the treadmill a few days ago -- and didn't die. And I pushed! I credit squats for what little aerobic capacity I have right now.

3) I wrote. I WROTE. Nothing special. But I wrote, stealing a few minutes during M's naps. This is a big deal for me, so forgive me if I do cartwheels over here for days.

Please tell me what's made you happy or grateful lately. ♥ The world can always use a little more sunshine.

Bones Ficlet: Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda

Title: Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda
Series: Snowflakes
Character:  Seeley Booth
K+ or PG
Through 5x7: The Dwarf in the Dirt
Timeline:  Set in Season 5.
Word Count: 300
Prompt: Remember
Bones and its characters belong to FOX, not me. This story is purely meant to entertain. No copyright infringement is intended.
Summary:  Sometimes Booth finds it hard to pretend.
A/N: Snowflakes is a series of Bones oneshots. I have a 50scenes  prompt table I claimed a gazillion years ago. Writing time is always at a premium these days, and on the random occasions when I have it (read: when my daughter naps), I'm finding it hard to find or create much inspiration. Too much pressure, maybe. Regardless, perhaps these will help.

If you read this, thank you. If you comment, thank you. Sometimes it's good to know I'm not shouting into the abyss. :)

Bones Fic: Presbyopia (3/4)

Title:  Presbyopia (3/4)
Chapter Title:  Clinical Trials

Characters:  Booth, Brennan
Prompt: Glasses
This is set sometime after The Santa in the Slush.
None yet.
Presbyopia is the loss of the eye's ability to change focus to see near objects, but sometimes it makes other things crystal clear.
: If you've read Ch. 1 & 2, you know this was meant to be at least somewhat on the lighter, funnier side. I hope you won't hate me for that.
