Summary: An Angela-centric tag for 5x12: The Proof in the Pudding
A/N: Snowflakes is a series of Bones oneshots. I have a50scenes  prompt table I claimed a gazillion years ago. Writing time is always at a premium these days, and on the random occasions when I have it (read: when my daughter naps), I'm finding it hard to find or create much inspiration. Too much pressure, maybe. Regardless, perhaps these will help.

If you read this, thank you. If you comment, thank you. It's always good to hear what you thought. :)

If Only

Angela steps into her apartment. She drops her keys on the kitchen counter and allows her feet to carry her to the room that currently serves as her studio. At the lab last night, she hadn't had time to do a sketch. But she saw it: a mural of blues and greens on the back wall, by the crib--

She should shower. She climbs into bed, turns onto her side. Her hand wants to rest on her stomach; she doesn't let it.

It would have been the wrong guy. It would have been the wrong time. It would have been...

God, this is so great. My heart broke for Angela.

HH and Co. seem to have put our second OTP back on track, though.

HH and Co. seem to have put our second OTP back on track, though.

They certainly do, don't they? :)

Thank you, sweetie. Michaela played those scenes so well, didn't she? Just the right hint of ambivalence.

I'll be honest: to me, their break-up seemed more like an artificial plot point than a legitimate thing. And the Roxy and Wendell stuff... Don't get me started. *g*

Oh, my heart! So painfully lovely...

*pets you* Thank you, my dear. How tasteth the root veggies? *g*

I know I commented at The Pit, but I just wanted to let you know I have been thinking about this all day :)

Aww. Thank you for sharing the sentiment -- and for commenting. In two places, no less. :) ♥

Aww, I loved this. It was awesome.

Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed this. :)

Aw, very sweet and in-character for Ange. Nicely done. Broke my heart.

I'm happy this worked for you. Thanks for letting me know that. Michaela did a lot with those scenes...

Last line made me shiver in a very, very good way. Beautiful drabble. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you for reading this; and for letting me know what you thought of it. ♥ I'm not crazy about the Wendell stuff or the almost!pregnancy thing bringing H & A closer, but the acting from both of the latter in that ep was stellar.

Thank you so much! :) Wendell's a great guy, but I'm really not feeling the Wendell/Angela hook-up.

Awww. I am so happy we finally had some heart felt Hodgela on the show. This was so beautiful. A lovely tag to a wonderfully bitter sweet episode for these two.

Hi! How are you? I've been a bit scarce here on LJ lately; must check your journal to see if you've posted of late.

Thanks a lot. Yes, it truly was bittersweet for both of them. Didn't your heart break for them just a little?

Beautiful, as always.
The scene where Angela realized that having a baby links you forever with someone, and that Wendel would have been the wrong someone...I'm so glad HH & crew seem to be getting Jack & Angela back on track. Jack so wonderful; I almost cried.

Thank you so much; I truly appreciate your comments.

To be honest, I thought their break-up was a bit silly. But both TJ & Michaela were terrific in this episode. Wendell, as nice as he is, isn't meant for Angela.

Oh, Angela...your timing is ALL messed up...and you KNOW it!!!

Thanks, honey. Here's hoping they get things sorted out soon.

Yes, you captured her mixed emotions perfectly.

Thank you! ♥ That is EXACTLY what I was trying to do.

I've been n bonesfic fro a couple of months now, but haven't had a lot to comment on because, as much as I love DB & ED as partners in crime solving, I think it would destroy the show if they became an actual couple, and it's the show I love.

The reason I'm leaving a comment here? Because Angela Montenegro (or Ms. Montenegro... Ohh! How I miss that gorgeous guy, with his wonderful voice...) is possibly the major reason, after finally seeing DB get to do some acting, and prove what onscreen dramatic comedian he is capable of being, why I got hooked on the show.

The Graft in the Girl, anyone?

This is a wonderful little piece, purely as a standalone piece of writing (please remember I'm only up to the end of Season 4); especially in the feminist context of women still, two centuries after Mary Wollstonecraft, being required to seek out 'The Perfect Love' to justify their contribution to society.

I would argue, whether, or not, she finds love; male or female, that Ms. Montenegro has more than made a justifiable contribution to the good of society.

Having said all that, it is doubly heartbreaking to find her feeling so desolate and alone.

Brilliant piece of writing. You should be proud.

Still until Willow & Tara's spell,
