If you have it in you to do so, please tell me what's made you happy or grateful lately. The world can always use a little more sunshine.(If it can't I definitely can!) I see some ppl lurking here; don't be shy. Feel free to share something, even if you never pipe up again. :)

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since December 2007. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

A client hugged me today and told me she loved me. Not something us lawyers get to hear very often. This made me happy and made the craziness that I often deal with worth it when I realize that I made her life and a really horrible situation just a little easier to bear.

My littlest baby is 8 tomorrow (well today here now). He makes me smile every day. So proud to be his mum :D

He's EIGHT??? Whoa! Happy bday, J!

Yes! Hard to believe! Thank you :)

Aww Happy Birthday to J! I hope he had a great day :D

the humidity finally broke and there is a lovely breeze

I'm a tad late, but my smiles for the week:

-It's finally a tad cooler and we've been able to turn off our one-room air conditioner this week. It's been nicely around 70-80 degrees instead of the 80-95 degrees it's been in the couple of weeks past lol.
-I went to a workshop thing for alumni at my college today and got lots of helpful job search information that should help me a lot.
-Teen Wolf was very good, though very emotional, this week.
-My friends are wonderful and make me smile every day, and we're going to soon start planning a trip to NYC for later this year, which I'm really excited about.

Late to the party, as usual.

Seeing an exchange between two of my friends on twitter about comicon tickets. One friend thought she'd missed out on a panel and our friend found tickets and held them (though she ended up getting them on her own anyhow).

Even later to the party.

Worked 13 hours on Tuesday and it lead to the best possible outcome we could have hoped for on Wednesday.
