My completed drabble123 claim table for Bones

  • 1
Oooh! I love prompt tables! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I'd claimed 2-3 tables last year from various communities for Bones or Booth, & I don't think I wrote anything for them. *hangs head in shame* I still have the tables, but I'm sure they've expired. lol! I keep telling myself that I'll write something for them anyways, & just post them where ever I feel like posting them.

I've never done one of these before, but I thought it might be fun. Who cares if your claims have expired; you can still use them as prompts and write whenever you feel like it. :)

I' still new to this, what is a "claim table"

There are a bunch of writing challenge communities here on LJ. They each have different rules. For drabble123, my understanding is that you "claim" a fandom, character, or pairing, pick a table of prompts from the bunch they have posted, pick a word count of exactly 100, 200, or 300 words, and then write fics of whatever length you chose in response to the prompts. As I respond to the prompts, I'll post the stories at drabble123 and link each story to the corresponding prompt in this table. You can check out their profile for all the details.

Okay, I'm really dense, but I've never actually understood how these sorts of things work.

Enlighten me, please?

drabble123 is just a writing challenge community. My understanding is that you "claim" a fandom, character, or pairing, pick a table of prompts from the bunch they have posted, pick a word count of exactly 100, 200, or 300 words, and then write fics of whatever length you chose in response to the prompts. As I respond to the prompts, I'll post the stories at drabble123 and link each story to the corresponding prompt in this table. You can check out their profile for all the details.

Let me know if anything's unclear.

Aha!

I had never participated in a table prompt before and always wondered how they worked.

Quite ingenious.

*g* Yeah, nothing fancy. There are a ton of these types of comms; you might enjoy participating.
