Saturday Six (songs, that is)
Angel?Booth - lerdo
only_more_love
I love music; I couldn't live without it.  It communicates in ways little else can.  When someone tells me they're indifferent about music--and yes, that has happened--I am immediately distrustful.

Six random songs for you:
(Change the hxxp to http)

Angie Aparo - Cry   [Faith Hill covered his song; she didn't write it.  In my opinion, Angie's version is better.  Much better.]

The Sundays - Wild Horses  [This is a Rolling Stones song, but I prefer this version--by a lot.  It's very pretty and soothing in a simple sort of way.]

Tracy Chapman - The Promise  [I've longed for you, and I have desired to see your face, your smile--to be with you wherever you are...  Haven't we all felt like that about someone?]

Kate Rusby - Who Will Sing Me Lullabies  [I prefer the live version of this song, which is up on YouTube, but the disc version is still gorgeous.  When I first heard this song on YouTube I cried and cried and cried some more.]

Kate Winslet - What If  [Yes, that Kate Winslet.  If memory serves me right, I first heard this song years ago in a Buffy/Angel mvid some lovely soul put together.  While I don't remember anything about the vid, I've had a fondness for the song ever since.]

Gwyneth Paltrow & Huey Lewis - Cruisin'
[Ok, maybe that sounds like the stuff of nightmares, but give it a try.  It's surprisingly catchy. *g*]

*Bonus Track:

Ivy - Edge of the Ocean

I'd love to hear what you think, but if you don't feel like commenting, go ahead and download and listen anyway. :)

These are Sendspace links.  If something expires, let me know, and I will do my best to re-up.

I really like some of the stuff you're sharing today. Very relaxing.

Gwyneth Paltrow's voice is one of the best for me. Her version of Bette Davis Eyes is so... indescribable.

Totally offtopic, but did you know that this girl speaks Spanish better than me? I got so shocked when I heard her... O_O

As always, thanks for this. :)

I haven't heard her version of Better Davis Eyes, but now I must find it. :)

Totally offtopic, but did you know that this girl speaks Spanish better than me?

No, I had no idea she spoke Spanish.

As always, thanks for this. :)

'Tis my pleasure; enjoy.

It's been like an eternity since I don't listen to that song, but I must rescue it. It's easy to find, but if you don't just tell me. ;)

Trying to find an interview or something of her in Spanish, I didn't success, but I found this.

She has such a nice voice.

That was Kate Winslet? Wow....just, wow...

I've liked and respected her as an actress and as a person - but I never knew her singing voice was so beautiful. [still amazed.]

Thanks for sharing these - I have now added two more people to my "must have more music from" list.

*smiles* Lovely voice, isn't it?

You're very welcome. :) I don't have any other Kate Winslet songs, but if you tell me which other artist you liked, I'd be happy to upload some more songs for you.

I have to disagree about "Wild Horses". Jagger's voice is so broken and emotional while he's singing - you completely feel his pain.

I can't believe that a fellow music lover didn't sign up for my winter doldrums gift!

GO NOW!

I know this approaches sacrilege, but I can't stand Mick Jagger's voice. It gives me hives.

I can't believe that a fellow music lover didn't sign up for my winter doldrums gift!

I must have missed this; I am running over there now.

Thank you for sharing some lovely musics. Tracy Chapman is a long time fav in particular.

I had a house mate at uni that didn't like music. She didn't even own a stereo. That always freaked me out!

You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy the tunes. :)

Tracy Chapman is a long time fav in particular.

Love her.

That always freaked me out!

I can understand why. *g*
