I just realized...
Buffy (One Girl) - lerdo
...that I've had a post with Buffy the Vampire Slayer spelled as Bufty the Vampire Slayer up for four days.  o_O

Oh, Bufty.

That doesn't have quite the same ring.  :P

I can't believe someone didn't notice either.

:D Actually, I don't find it hard to believe.

Just one letter can make so much difference. *g*

well, i can't be the only person who doesn't wear my reading glasses all the time while i'm online. and actually, i had to squint to figure out what the spelling error was even once you'd pointed it out.

now Boffy, that would have been amazing.

now Boffy, that would have been amazing.

Ha! Yes, that would have been a more interesting mistake. *g*

LOL at your music! I heard that on the radio this morning. :D

It's insane! "Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes." *dies*

"I'm a horse. Kobe ratted me out. That's why I'm getting divorced." LOL SHAQ.

Oh, Bufty, I hardly knew ya!

I actually noticed it, but didn't bother to leave a response... does that make me a bad friend? or maybe just a good (but shy) beta? ;)

A beta for LJ posts; now there's an idea. *g*

Nah, I don't think it says anything about you. I'm just amused as hell by the error. I think maybe I should increase the text size in my browser. Don't know why, but text is starting to look fuzzy on my monitor.

Lots of things start to look fuzzy once you reach 30! LOL!

Well played, my dear! *g*

I remember reading an article once about how the brain 'fills in' words that you're reading, even if they are spelled incorrectly. So if you are looking at a phrase that you recognise, you might not notice the mistake - in this case we would all have recognised the 'the Vampire Slayer' part and automatically read the first word as Buffy.

At least, that's my excuse for not spotting it :)

I once typed "Buffy" as "Buggy". [is embarrassed.]

Very nice. *g*

It's okay, I probably wouldn't have noticed at all. At least you spotted it.

Haha wow :)

Somehow I'm not surprised we ALL missed that ;)

(I've discovered sometimes I completely miss misspellings b/c my brain just fills in the right letters...weird)

Spoke? Spite?

At least there wasn't Butty and Angle.

"Oh Bufty" ... that made me laugh right out loud.

:o You've fallen victim to the theory that we perceive whole words, not the letters. Popular example:

"i cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid; aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae.

The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!"

*sighs* Which still doesn't explain my prior "waist" issue. LOL

*double sigh* I just tried to spellcheck this mess. *head to desk*

I forgot to comment here yesterday. ;) It could be worse, you could have spelled it as 'the vampire layer'. Oh, wait, she was indeed. ;) It was a joke in the 6th season of FRIENDS, that I loved. Here.

Once, a friend of mine misspelled Superman as Sperman, and we made up a whole story of a super hero impregnating ladies all around the world. LOL
